When we review the latest celebrity fashion trends, the thing that really resonated with my soul and yearning as a designer are the new ways that design elements are expressed. Like the over-sized lace instead of the fine threads usually used to make lace, the embellishments over the lace, enhancing it's texture. The pleated skirts and bodices creating long trains for full length A line patterns sculpting how our eye interprets the curves of the female form.
Balmain really had a killer year on the red carpet from the met gala to the VMA's, and my favorite shots of J-Lo!
Marchesa also had an amazing year on the design landscape, the ombre and the cascades of graduated ruffled tulle pastels and colors! Of course , she launched them after we have been designing in these elements for some time, but I am so glad and consider that the best compliment to see them on the worlds runway and red carpets.
The custom version of this gown for Gwen Stefani, so super fab, notice that it is a custom color for her skin tone.
The aplique and Swarovski over sheer is also developed to this awesome aplication.
