Chanel 2015 Ready-to-wear. Can large floral prints work in the chanel culture?

Chanel 2015 ready-to-wear SS is as serene as it is colorful. Will it mean the start to a fashion revolution led by Karl? We have never seen protesters so beautiful and so impeccabley adorned this amazing collection that is so easily confused with couture to the untrained eye. With hopeful yearnings of spring and summer just around the corner, I couldn’t help but to catch up on Chanel spring 2015 Ready-to-wear line. The bright colors and floral-esc designs are sure to get anyone in the warmer weather mind set.

I love how Chanel paired the bright floral patterns, with the speckled skirt and blazer, and especially the pairing with the speckled tweed dress suit. I think the two different patterns actually work here. Personally, I do not know if I would mimic one of these looks completely, but I would definitely use elements of this look for my street style.

But don’t worry! If bright colors and abstract florals are a little outside of your comfort zone, Chanel has you covered. These are my personal favorite looks from Chanel 2015 ready-to-wear SS at Paris Fashion Week. I love the simple silhouettes of these styles, not to mention the subtle stripes, masculine buttons and of course the monotone color combination. But my absolute favorite part of these looks is how the gold shoes complement the masculinity so well.

The Fashion Revolution that Lagerfeld is starting with Chanel 2015 ready-to-wear SS.

The whole chanel ready-to-wear collection had a really earthy, 1960’s -1970’s look to it. I do not know if that was the inspiration behind the look, but that is what I got out of it. I really enjoyed how the models protest, with signs in their hands, and chanting feminist slogans. The designer, Karl Lagerfeld stated “My mother was a feminist, and I was brought up with a history of that.”

This message rings deep through all of the house of Chanel's values and bibliography, the one couture house that is iconic enough to start the revolution that Lagerfeld is engendering the fashionistas of world to adopt. Did you know that the House of Chanel is rumored to have been no stranger to revolution and espionage? The history if mademoiselle Coco herself has been brought to the central theme of many documentaries as to her involvement in the second world war. We will discuss this later.....
